The Loft Yoga Studio

Image NameThe Loft Yoga Studio, Clonlara, Co. Clare, is situated in a quiet countryside area just a minute's walk from spectacular views of the river Shannon. It is eight miles from Limerick and twelve miles from Killaloe. It is a purpose-built Yoga studio and is fully equipped with blocks, blankets, bolsters and eyebags. I have created the ideal atmosphere for Yoga, with soft lighting and the walls are decorated with original artwork.

About me

Image NameI was first introduced to Yoga when I trekked through the Himalayas in Nepal in 1992 on my way back from Australia to Ireland. The lifestyle and the people were so laid back and their lives were so uncomplicated, that it really made me wonder, what was the secret to their calm demeanour.

Yoga was the answer

I later trained to teach Yoga and now many years later I still practice every day. Over the years, I have been amazed at the immense benefits Yoga has brought to me. I have used exercise, breathing techniques, meditation and nutrition to improve my physical and mental well-being. This is the essence of Yoga: it is not just physical exercise but a way of life. Yoga is beneficial for all ages and all levels of fitness, from simple postures to intense body stretch. Yoga also includes breath awareness, relaxation and meditation, which is the key to calm and stress-free life.

Over the years I have trained in different aspects of Yoga and I now specialise in teaching flowinyoga. I teach flowinyoga to all levels as I believe that Yoga is movement and breath combined, so my classes allow each person to explore their own stamina and flexibility, allowing you to work at your own level.
These yoga flow classes are a continuous sequence of movements combined with breath awareness to bring the perfect balance into your practice. I have also designed a dynamic sports yoga flow which is suitable for all sports as it works into every muscle in the body, bringing strength and vitality into your sporting endeavours.

Namaste,
Paulette.

Yoga flow tight hamstrings and  calf muscles.

Please note that it is important to warm up before attempting any yoga flow.

Below I am going to go through one section of my sports yoga class.
This section of my class works and lengthens into the hamstrings in a safe way also giving a good stretch to the calf muscles.
